(M)EET DE PLASTICS (2021)
Graduation work as part of the ArtScience Department at the Royal Academy of Art 2021. Performance and installation. A culmanation of thre years on working with biomaterials and plastics as a concept. Expanding on the research in my thesis, I performed plastic as change, the body changing, the environment changing, the material changing. No two performances were the same. The exhibition space became a workshop, a labaratory, a kitchen. Somewhere for experiments to be had and witnessed.
Recipes were handed out, workshops were held. A video instaltion of my working process and experiments. The performance involved me creating, interacting with and melting the plastics in the space. over the course of the exhibition the space was continually built up and taken apart, changed.
