MAAT COSMETICS (2019)
Participatory performance exploring the history of, atitudes towards and experiences of colonisation and racism in The Netherlands. A olfactory ‘giftbox’ was created with each product in the giftbox relation to an auditory story around the history of colonisation in The Netherlands, and experiences of racism in the Netherlands. The olfactory smells in the giftboxes related to these stories, and told a story of their own.
In the performance, participents were invited to used the olfactory products while experience the auditory soundtrack. This project was created in collaboration with Kiara Kalinda.
