As the culmination of three years of research and experimentation with biomaterials and plastics, this performance and installation marked the exploration of change—both in the body, the environment, and the material itself. Expanding on the themes discussed in my thesis, I used plastic as a metaphor for transformation, engaging with it in its mutable, evolving state.
Each performance was unique, reflecting the fluidity and impermanence inherent in the process. The exhibition space was transformed into a dynamic, multifaceted environment—part workshop, part laboratory, part kitchen—where experimentation became an integral part of the experience. The space encouraged both active participation and passive observation, allowing the audience to both witness and engage with the unfolding process of creation, transformation, and dissolution in real-time.
Through this immersive setup, I invited the audience to not only engage with the materials but also to contemplate the broader implications of transformation, sustainability, and the relationship between the body and the material world.
