The installation invited viewers into a space shaped by slowness, material intimacy, and acts of care. Large bioplastic
sheets, handmade over weeks, hung to form soft, translucent partitions. Each surface carried a trace of touch, time, and
transformation. Created in response to the raw, industrial architecture of Hidden Door’s site, Layers of Care softened and
reclaimed the space through texture, translucency, and suspended forms. Rooted in feminist and ecological practices, the
work reimagined production as a ritual of resistance—foregrounding fragility, labour, and experimentation over control.
